Its contents are compiled from settled mineralogical scholarship, China's national standards (GB/T 16552, 16553, 38821-2020) and the transmitted classics — the Rites of Zhou, the Book of Rites, the Shuowen Jiezi — with disputed matters noted as such.

编纂凡例：一、名从国标，"和田玉""翡翠"之定名悉依 GB/T 16552；二、史料必注出处，传说与信史分书；三、馆藏图像均采公有领域或知识共享授权，逐件署名；四、内容持续修订，重要更改载于资讯页。The editorial charter: nomenclature follows the national standards; every historical claim carries its source, with legend and record kept distinct; all images are public-domain or Creative-Commons licensed and individually credited; the text is continually revised, with substantive changes logged on the News page.

本站架构分六编——分类、和田玉、翡翠、历史、文化、典藏——各编将随资料增补渐次扩展为更细之专章与著录。学界与藏界之指正，编者敬候。The archive is built in six volumes — taxonomy, nephrite, jadeite, history, culture and the collection — each destined to grow into finer chapters and catalogues as material is added. Corrections from scholars and collectors are respectfully awaited.
